Like several other parks including Holiday World and Knott’s Berry Farm, Dorney Park will bring new life to one of their wooden coasters in 2016. In the coming season, Dorney Park’s Thunderhawk will receive a number of enhancements to improve the classic wooden coaster’s ride experience.

Thunderhawk opened in 1924 with the simple name of “The Coaster.” Since then, the Philadelphia Toboggan coaster has entertained million of visitors at Dorney Park.

This year, the ride experience for those guests will greatly improve as the Philadelphia Toboggan Company and Dorney renovate the coaster. With the beautiful new trains in the picture above, new lights, and a fresh coat of white paint, Thunderhawk is going to be as lively as ever in the 2016 season!
