Adventureland, a small park outside of Des Moines, Iowa, will be investing $9 Million into a new roller coaster in 2016, which will be known as, “The Monster.”

“The Monster” will be the park’s first roller coaster since the 1996 addition of the roller coaster/dark ride called “The Underground.”

The Gerstlauer manufactured coaster will feature a 133 foot tall vertical lift hill, a 101 degree drop, five inversions, and will have a total length of 2,500 feet.

Below is a video of the new ride:

Unfortunately, with this new addition, a beloved ride will have to go. The park’s log flume, which opened in 1974, will close Labor Day weekend in order to begin construction on this new ride.
