In 2016, California’s Great America will debut their newest and most immersive experience yet, a 4D Mass Effect attraction. Mass Effect is a popular video game created by EA and BioWare. California’s Great America will be partnering with these two companies to create the new ride.
The ride will be housed within the park’s Action Theater, which currently contains a ride themed to the movie Happy Feet.
When it opens early next year, it will be the first of its kind as it sends guests soaring across the outer limits of the universe and into unique landscapes of far away planets. It will also feature special effects and a live performer.
Although this isn’t the expected Vortex floorless coaster transformation, this definitely is a nice surprise attraction. It should entertain several guests and may even assist in keeping crowds from the park’s competitor, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, who is installing the major Joker RMC hybrid coaster.
