Next year, Six Flags Fiesta Texas will build a new water coaster called Thunder Rapids. The Proslide manufactured water coaster will be a fun ride with some unique elements on it!
Among those unique elements are five upward blasts, which are what makes the ride a water coaster, and four saucer elements, which will send rafts soaring to the walls of the slide. This saucer element is currently not very common on waterslides. The ride will have a maximum height of 35 feet and will be 942 feet long. 350 feet of the ride will be in tunnels.
The ride will have three person rafts and a moving loading station. It will utilize jet propulsion technology to blast riders uphill.
In addition to the new water coaster, Six Flags Fiesta Texas will bring a new Mardi Gras Festival to the park from March 24th to April 30th. There will be an eight float parade, special food, decorations, and merchandise in the park for the event.
