Today, Canada’s Wonderland announced their 2016 plans to build two new flat rides. The first of these two rides, Skyhawk, will be a 135 foot tall Gerstlauer Sky Fly. This thrilling flat ride will allow riders to flip 360 degrees as they spin around a central tower. Skyhawk will be the first of its kind in North America. This ride is a nice surprise, as Cedar Fair hasn’t installed these rides before, but I am happy to see a new and exciting ride coming to Canada’s Wonderland.

Canada’s Wonderland also announced Flying Eagles, which will be a flying scooters. Flying scooters are family friendly and fun rides. They are not too tall, but spin you around as you control your car, which can fly high and low. It will definitely help please younger guests in a thrill heavy park. Recently, Cedar Fair has installed several of these rides, so I was expecting this to come to more parks. I think this will be a fun ride, definitely a good fit for the park.
